A series of 25 small oil paintings made in the fall of 2026, each one a single moment of light. After a quiet summer away from the easel, I came back to the studio wanting to paint quickly and simply, and these small panels let me do that.
The paintings move between places that matter to me: San Francisco and the Bay Area where I live and work, the California coast, the gorges and waterfalls of Ithaca where I grew up, and the mountains of Colorado and Utah. There is also one portrait of Nala, our rescue French bulldog.
Each painting is oil on wood panel, 6x6 to 6x9 inches, some on 3/4 inch cradled panels that hang without a frame.
