Pleistocene Park is a nature reserve where attempts are being made, via its ancient permafrost, to recreate the subarctic ecosystem that flourished in the Pleistocene era. The white encaustic surface with graphite depicts the terrain, suggesting findings of ancient fossils of extinct species.
