Early in my career, I decided that I wanted to be a public sculptor. I completed a BFA with an emphasis on sculpture. Following my degree, I continued to work on my sculptures, growing more accustomed to working at a monumental scale. I built a number of maquettes, studied with structural engineers, and worked alongside professional fabricators; All the while, I could not help dreaming about and imagining all I wanted to do in the public art world.

For years, I worked consistently at applying for commissions and seeking large site-specific venues. Concurrently, I had gallery shows, museum shows, and I was selling consistently. Additionally, individuals, who recognized and valued my work, would from time-to-time commission me to make sculptures. I was always happy that my work had a wide appeal, to both serious collectors and the general public.

Eventually, my goal of making public art came to fruition, as commissions for my work in public spaces came in. My passion for placing my work in front of audiences in this realm flourished. I have been fortunate to have a successful career in the arts, including numerous public works.

I continue to make sculptures with public exhibits in mind. Through this medium, my dreams, stories, and imagination move through the work. I hope that others will find connection with these expressions of joy and mystery.
