Donna Mitchell is a self taught artist with a lifetime of drawing and painting experience and twenty years of teaching at the Art Center School & Galleries of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. She is a pastelist, works in traditional realism, and her subjects are diverse with a passion for portraiture and landscapes of familiar places far and near.

Mitchell studied extensively with portrait and figure artist, Karl Foster at the Art Center. In recent years she has continued her studies through mentorship and workshops with the finest of nationally renowned pastel artists, focusing on portraiture and landscape.

Mitchell is a member of the Portrait Society of America; Pastel Society of America; Accredited member of the Maryland Society of Portrait Painters; Signature member of the Maryland Pastel Society; Central Pennsylvania Pastel Society; and the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, Hagerstown, MD. She also has local memberships with art organizations in Pennsylvania and Maryland.
