Study for the reduction woodcut Bow and Ceres, Bend in the River. The drawing was done in the early 1990s. When the original pen and India ink drawing was sold, Don made a xerographic reproduction on which he had colored with acrylic wash and colored pencils as a study for the reduction woodcut 'Bend in the River, Bow and Ceres.' Both were featured in exhibits at The Cove Gallery in Wellfleet, MA, "Don Gorvett: Woodcuts," and Strawbery Bank Museum in Portsmouth, NH, “Portrait of a New England Port".
