The first image is Holding. I used pieces of my hand painted and specially printed fabrics of my own design. The textile artwork is backed by a thin batting and edges zigzagged on machine. The white backing is also backed by a heavier batting which brings out the texture when free form quilted. The complete textile artwork is then mounted on a stretched painter's canvas.
