This artwork was one of the first wall hangings that I created when I started making art quilts. The design is very intuitive, the colors are my favourites, and I used a lot of beads and specialty yarns to create texture and visual interest. The fabrics are a mix of batiks and commercial cottons. Everything was machine sewn with yarns sewn over the seams. I still like it very much and thought then, as I still think that it is a very interesting and successful piece of wall art.
