All of my work is somewhat abstract, with representational work being a simplified version of the real life shapes and colors.  These works are truly abstract in that they are simply about shapes and colors without any attempt to represent anything in particular. (Some of the titles refer to things that might represent something, but these were after-the-fact interpretations of what the image looked like.)

Most of my prints are one of a kind, but the essence of printing is to create multiples of the same image. I have created a few small, limited editions where each print is identical. 

I really enjoy making prints from paper plates: Collagraphs, carved mat board,  layered cardboard or even stacked paper stencils.  At one point I did an entire exhibit of prints made from paper plates: Exhibit Catalog

The "Tiny Print Showcase" attracted our interest with the challenge to create prints just 6 square inches in size. That's 1 inch by 6 inches, or 2 inches by 3 inches.  We had a lot of fun doing this, and after being accepted into the showcase, we had a good excuse to do a couple of mini vacation road trips to western Colorado.
