Rick Gross lives on 20 acres and was out in the woods carving and saw a couple of big ceder stumps that reminded him of wolves and so he started carving from wood on his property. A self-taught carver, Rick has been carving for 6 years. His focus is on animals primarily, and has also done some faces, but prefers wildlife. Originally from Massachusetts, Rick has been living in Oregon for over 45 years. In addition to carving, Rick has worked in mental health and wellness in the Eugene community. He partners with his wife, Denise Brittain, on painted projects.
