Coda Stone’s artistic interests started with filling the wall next to their crib with doodles and culminated with a MFA from the University of Oregon, concentrating on photography. Throughout their twenties, Coda’s work was focused heavily on gender and body image while they navigated transitioning to living as a trans man. In the twenty years since, Coda’s creative pursuits have been more varied and unconnected but always enjoyable — paintings of a friend's favorite item, sarcastic cross stitch sayings or pet portraits. Most recently Coda indulges in their favorite theme: fuzzy, plump bears doing adorable things.
