Shirley M. Hall (1895-1971) was born in New York and studied at the Otis Art Institute in Pasadena in the 1920s and early 1930s. He worked mostly in San Marino, CA during the 1940's until his death in Los Angeles, CA where he settled.
A sepia-toned portrait of a monk sitting with his hands folded together. On the top of the image there is the phrase "GIVE US THIS DAY-".
