Samuel Jones Wagstaff Jr. (1921 – 1987) was an American curator and collector of fine arts. Working alongside his fellow artist and lifetime partner Robert Mapplethorpe, he assembled an immense private collection of photographic work that spanned several decades and brought widespread attention to the value of photography as an artistic medium.
