Anne Gomes has been a photographer for over 25 years and most often use black and white film and large format cameras. I like to photograph in the environment and particularly like the tension between the natural world and our constructions. I like overgrown gardens and buildings in the process of decay, covered by the tendrils of climbing vines or embraced by the branches and roots of large plants. When I photograph interiors, I try to depict atmosphere and a sense of the lives molded by these settings.
