WELCOME TO THE COOPRIDER FAMILY COLLECTION Estate
"WHO WERE THE COOPRIDERS?"
FIRST RULE: "Buy only what you like"
They surely did. The Cooprider Family Collection had more than 400 of their works displayed; currently only showing what is available.
Mom and dad celebrated a long marriage, almost 62 years. They were both addicted to the world of art, attended as many art and cultural events - and galleries- as possible, and bought what they liked. Even after 2018 when both began respective treatments for the big "C" word, that did not slow them down. Until their last day, Patti and Coop enjoyed and created both art and music. On January 4, 2021, mom was released from years of pain (that she hid so well with her zest for life). Dad joined mom on 19 January 2026. Pain free and together again!

WHO WERE THEY?
Patti and Coop, both art aficionados, were married in Montana on Valentine's Day 1959. In 1965 they moved to Germany with 4 kids in tow (3 more to be born in Germany), where mom graduated as an Art History major at the University of Maryland (on-base overseas campus). Patti's studies and interest exposed them to museums from the Prado in Madrid to the Pushkin in Moscow, and art fairs from Basel to the FIAC in Paris. They visited artists that included Henry Moore, Marc Chagall, Hundertwasser, and Theo Tobiasse, at their respective homes across Europe - that was most memorable for both Patti and Coop.
A car accident in 1989 in Germany permanently disabled their only boy of 7 children. They had to sell most of their major works to help Kyle in Germany and to then later move him to southern California closer to them. Art sales that helped support Kyle (Dec 27, 1959 - Nov 11, 2023) included Picasso drawings (3), Miro Gouache, Lipschitz bronze sculpture, large Leger, Chagall oil, Dali erotic double sided drawing, and more: Calder, Derain, Hundertwasser, Juan Gris, etc. All gone from their collection, but for the best cause ever.
Kyle, like his mom, was a creator of his own unique art. Hundreds of pieces by Patti - who created art every day (including her famous "Friendship Cards") have been re-homed among family, friends, and neighbors.

WHAT WAS IN ORIGINAL PORTFOLIO AND WHAT YOU’LL SEE AVAILABLE TODAY WHEN YOU EXPLORE "PORTFOLIO":
More than half of the original Cooprider Family Collection included renowned artists:Theo Tobiasse, Jeffery Laudenslager, Manny Farber, Martin Bradley; plus, many who deserve to be prominently known such as California artists Sean (Pat) Sullivan, Becky Guttin, Lynn Schuette, Sandra Chanis, Norman Lundin, Shauna Peck, Gail Roberts, Tony Peters, Anne Mudge, Barry Ebner, Brandon Paris and many more.
Much of the collection was by the internationally collected artist Antonio Diego Voci (Voh-chee 1920-1985). Coop was the official volunteer Diego Voci Project historian since 1974, now DVP Historian Emeritus. The Cooprider family team along with Stephen Max (passionate Diego collector), Helga Voci (wife of Diego), Chris Voci (grand-nephew to Diego) had the dream that someday a generous benefactor would sponsor a major museum Diego exhibition. We've searched the world for his artworks since 2010 and have archived hundreds of DIEGO collectors, with several museum worthy art pieces. Diego, whose short life and versatility may have impacted the obscurity that followed his death. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonio_Diego_Voci
When you like an available artwork, make an offer. They all need a good home. Enjoy mom and dad's available collection!

Music was also an art that permeated the Cooprider household - listen to Coop sing his rendition of Summertime (Porgy and Bess) that until January 2026 he had reserved for family only. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3TauvATBoU
