About the artist

Sally Anderson

1928-2005

Sally Anderson studied and began her career at the Pratt Institute in New York City. She started her career with painting, and later moved towards fiber, creating weavings, applique wall hangings, and sculptural baskets. She was a members of the Craftsmen's Guild of Pittsburgh, The Weaver's Guild, Pittsburgh Society of Artists and the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh. Anderson was a founding member of of the North Hills Arts Center.
