Cherry Harris D.O; MSc (Ost Med)

Oria, Almeria, Spain

Cherry Harris - Born 1958, Dartford, Kent, United Kingdom is a Spanish based artist whose body of work is informed by her lifetime exploration of dynamical systems as experienced both in humans and in nature. This artist works with mixed media and oils and seeks to explore through the use of - gesture, mark making, symbolism, metaphor and allegory the beauty manifest by the motion inherent in matter. This is investigated and expressed through portrait, landscape, abstract emotional and situational themes. Much of the artists inspiration is derived from her 38 years of working as a cranial osteopath, lecturer and researcher, whereupon art and the arts were always symbiotic companions. The artists vision for her work is to draw attention to the intricacies and delicacy of human, natural and planetary health in the hope that appreciation for this beauty might help us to celebrate, retain and perpetuate it both personally and universally.
