Born in Denver, Colorado, Michael studied fine art and design at Pratt Institute in New York. Much of his practice focuses around found objects and materials, using collage and assemblage throughout his work. While studio painting, murals, public art and drawing are at the center of his discovery, he has also taught and lectured. He is widely exhibited and collected both locally and around the world. In September 2021 Michael took the position as executive director of PlatteForum, an arts nonprofit that brings together high school youth with professional artists to realize unique opportunities for quality community engagement through arts education and leadership.

Nacido en Denver, Colorado, Michael estudió bellas artes y diseño en el Pratt Institute de Nueva York. Si bien la pintura de estudio, los murales, el arte público y el dibujo están en el centro de su descubrimiento, también ha enseñado y dado conferencias. Es ampliamente exhibido y coleccionado tanto a nivel local como en todo el mundo. En septiembre de 2021, Michael asumió el cargo de director ejecutivo de PlatteForum, una organización artística sin fines de lucro que reúne a jóvenes de secundaria con artistas profesionales para aprovechar oportunidades únicas de participación comunitaria de calidad a través de la educación artística y el liderazgo.
