Chantal Hediger (b. 1974, Aarau, Switzerland) is a contemporary painter based in Schmerikon, Switzerland. Working primarily with oil, acrylic and oil pastel on raw cotton, her work is about aliveness, the intensity of being fully present, explored through perception, attention and the relationship between embodied experience and the material world. Moving between abstraction and figuration, she creates open pictorial spaces that invite sustained looking and reflection.
Her work is held in international collections, including the Marlene Yu Museum in the USA.
