"Hand Tied" captures the essence of a sunflower bouquet, bound by hand, through an abstract lens. This piece, created with gouache on paper, explores the complementary colors of yellow and blue. The vibrant yellows and deep blues dance across the paper, creating a harmonious balance that evokes the warmth of sunflowers and the serenity of a clear sky. The abstract forms suggest the delicate, yet strong ties of a hand-tied bouquet, celebrating the beauty found in simplicity and nature.
This artwork invites viewers to lose themselves in the interplay of color and form, finding their own meanings and emotions within its layers. "Hand Tied" emerged from an exploration of color and form, inspired by the natural beauty of sunflowers and the art of hand-tying bouquets. The use of gouache on paper allowed for a fluid and expressive rendering, capturing the spontaneous and heartfelt nature of the subject.
