Brenda Stumpf (American, b. 1972) is an artist whose multidisciplinary practice spans photography, image transfer, found materials, painting, and sculpture. Her work has been exhibited at institutions such as the Westmoreland Museum of American Art, the Butler Institute of American Art, the Alexandria Museum of Art, and the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art, as well as at galleries and exhibition spaces throughout the United States.

Her work has been selected for exhibitions juried or curated by Jerry Saltz, Christoph Heinrich, Kerry Brougher, Brian Piper, Ph.D., and Larry Ossei-Mensah. Her work has been featured in The Hand Magazine, an UNSTAGED Anthology, Southwest Contemporary, Creative Nonfiction, Studio Visit Magazine, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, and other publications, with additional coverage in The Denver Post, The Plain Dealer, and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. She has also appeared in interviews, podcasts, radio, and television programs discussing her work.

Stumpf has received the New Mexico Arts Acclaimed Artist Series Purchase Award and the Juror’s Prize from the Tubac Center of the Arts, and has received the Homiens Art Prize Highly Commended distinction and been shortlisted for the Hopper Prize. In 2026, three of her works were selected by jurors for inclusion in the Santa Fe Gallery Association Artist Catalog. Her work is held in nearly 400 private collections throughout the United States and abroad, as well as public and institutional collections. Originally from Parma, Ohio, she lives and works near Denver, Colorado.
