These paintings begin with landscapes transformed by memory, color, rhythm, and imagination. Rather than depicting a specific location, they capture its atmosphere—the feeling of being there long after the place itself has faded.

What is deeply personal becomes unexpectedly familiar, leaving space for each viewer to discover places that have shaped their own lives.

Some of the most interesting possibilities exist between what we see and what we imagine.

In these works, I explore the space between observation and imagination, memory and invention, gesture and form. What begins with something seen, remembered, or experienced evolves through the creative process, allowing familiar forms to shift, dissolve, and become something new.

Rather than describing the world as it is, I am interested in what can emerge when certainty gives way to possibility. Through layers, abstraction, and experimentation, these works inhabit a space where meaning is not fixed, but continues to unfold.

The In-Between invites us to linger in that uncertainty, allowing perception, memory, and imagination to shape what we see.

Monoprints, Drawings & Altered Postcards

Some ideas begin without knowing where they will lead.

This collection brings together monoprints, drawings, altered postcards, and other visual explorations that begin with curiosity rather than a predetermined outcome. Some become the seeds of larger bodies of work. Others remain complete in themselves.

Together, they celebrate experimentation, play, and the unexpected discoveries that often shape the creative process.

Alcohol ink is a medium that resists certainty.

Its pigments flow, merge, and separate in ways that cannot be fully controlled, creating an ongoing conversation between intention and chance. Rather than directing the process, Bonnie responds to what the material reveals, allowing each painting to evolve through observation, intuition, and instinct.

The result is work that feels both spontaneous and deliberate—an exploration of color, movement, and the unexpected beauty that emerges when the artist is willing to be surprised.

Some experiences resist a single point of view.

Using layered imagery, multiple exposures, and digital transformation, Bonnie Levinson creates photographs that move beyond documentation into imagination. Familiar subjects become luminous, ambiguous, and open to interpretation.

This series began with a deeply personal moment. During his final illness, Bonnie's late husband quietly remarked that he could "see through the wall." His words became the inspiration for Breaking Through to the Other Side and opened an ongoing exploration of perception, possibility, and the mysteries that exist beyond ordinary vision.

These images offer no single explanation. Instead, they invite us to linger with uncertainty and discover that what lies beyond the visible may be just as real as what we can see.

Photography

The extraordinary often reveals itself in the most familiar places.

Chilies drying in Bhutan. Candies overflowing from a market stall in Barcelona. Bottles arranged like notes of color. A worn refrigerator in a Cuban kitchen. Ice cream scoops resting in their wells and rows of cones in Japan, waiting to be chosen. Buckets stacked into bright towers. A passing figure briefly completing a scene.

These photographs find rhythm, color, humor, and quiet beauty in the everyday. Objects made for use become patterns; fleeting moments become compositions. What might ordinarily pass unnoticed is transformed through attention into something vivid, surprising, and memorable.

The poetry was there all along.

Some experiences ask for more than one visual language.

From Loss to Light  presents photography in an ongoing meditation on grief, memory, resilience, and renewal. Each photograph offers a different way of seeing, creating a body of work that reflects the many paths through loss toward healing.

Born from personal loss, this collection reaches toward something universal: the human capacity to find beauty, hope, and meaning after profound change.

Included within this body of work is In the Dark They Open, a series inspired by the quiet resilience of flowers. Emerging from darkness into light, these images remind us that even in life's most difficult seasons, beauty continues to unfold and unexpected moments of grace remain possible.
