Whether I'm checking out the city on foot or exploring the alpine on a motorcycle, I'll be taking in the colours and light-play around me. I'll also be the one in the car announcing when we drive by "cows!" or "sheep!" or my favourite: "a hawk!".
At home, I'm friends to a pair of beautiful wild crows, who also appear in my artwork regularly. I think they're just as curious about me as I am about them, which is what solidifies our friendship. Sharing my snacks also helps.
My fine arts training began in high school, with a brilliant art teacher who took me under her wing. From there, I went on to study studio arts and art history at Camosun College. I completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) as a graduate of Emily Carr Institute of Art + Design, in 2004.
As a life long learner and infinitely curious person, I've continued to study art and design in various ways ever since.
