Brooke embraced abstraction around 2011, drawn to its freedom, spontaneity, and endless possibilities. Working primarily in acrylics with accents of pastel, chalk, and mixed media, she rarely begins with a set plan. Instead, her process is guided by intuition, layers, and surprising shifts that unfold along the way. Her work balances bold color and organic movement with subtler passages, often resonating strongly with interior designers and collectors alike.
Her paintings have been exhibited in Lafayette, Baton Rouge, and Mississippi, and she has become a fixture at the beloved annual Big Easel Art Show in River Ranch, where she was honored as the 2016 Poster Artist. She has also received Best Acrylic (2016, 2019) and Best in Show (2018, 2022), later serving as a juror for the event.
Brooke credits the support of her husband James and their children, Holland and Griffin, as a grounding force behind her artistic journey.
