"Artistry is a state of being and of becoming— a reflection of where we have been, where we are now, and where we may go in the future. Our experiences in life help to mold our place in the world. My intention when working is to marry texture, form, and color to produce either harmony or tension. Over time, I have explored and experimented with various art forms, all of which have culminated in my current work. Many of my pieces are a representation of nature’s forms and colors, while others reflect emotions, ideas, and abstract images. The images of the series “Somewhere in the Universe” are meant to provoke the viewer into a realization that that outer world collides with our inner world—bringing forth a personnel response to the work. The viewer is left to question 'Who am I and where am I in this world?' "
