The first piece in the Les Reconfiguration "jewel box" subseries, is meant to be presented on a table or shelf and handled, as opposed to being hung on a wall. It includes a sculptural lid that echoes the pine cone scale composition inside. The box is deep green, achieved through multiple layers of stain painted on in order to enhance the wood grain.
