Tim Sheesley is a printmaker based in Otego, New York. He is the owner and master printer of the lithography studio Corridor Press. He also serves as gallery director for the art gallery at the State University of New York, Oneonta. Sheesley has taught at Tyler School of Art, Temple University; The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Breda School of Art in the Netherlands, SUNY Oneonta, Colgate University, and Syracuse University. He received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Oneonta and his MFA from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University in Philadelphia. He has also received the distinction of Master Printer from the Tamarind Institute of Lithography at the University of New Mexico.
In 1989, Sheesley participated in a group show at Bannister Gallery titled Six Printmakers, showing four lithographs and a monoprint. Although this print is not one of the ones shown, it was likely acquired by Bannister Gallery during the show. During this time, Sheesley was invited to do a workshop at the college by professor of printmaking Laurie Sloan, one of the six printmakers in the exhibit.
