Anna Togrye is a self-taught sculptor who learned through trial & error, moving clay around until it stops looking wrong. She consistently draws on the natural world and its inhabitants for inspiration in her creative outlets. Anna’s animal sculptures are made with a metal armature and a combination of polymer & air-dry clays, raw pigment, & acrylics, while the sculptural wall pieces are inspired by the movement & migration of animals, as well as natural and geographical formations. Anna intends to evoke an emotional response in each piece and hope to remind the viewer how much beauty there is in our world. Anna lives in Nashville, TN and is passionate about animal welfare, the environment, art, & politics.
