Guest-curated by Maria White, this exhibition brings together the work of 31 artists to celebrate the incredible diversity of ceramic talent in Charleston and the many ways artists in our community approach this timeless medium. Clay, with its history of being shaped by hand and transformed by fire, is a material deeply connected to compassion, empathy, and care—qualities that resonate strongly with Arts in Healing’s mission to create supportive, healing-centered environments. This exhibition also highlights the work of Mugs for Moms, a local non-profit organization that partners with Arts in Healing to provide art therapy to mothers, with clay used as the medium for creating, and offers resources for postpartum support and maternal mental health. Many of the artists in this exhibition collaborate with Mugs for Moms to help create a more caring and compassionate community.
