Mia Loia (she/her) was born in Baltimore Maryland in 1992, where she spent her childhood until her family moved to Morristown, NJ in 2001. Spending her adolescence outside New York City, Loia developed a deep appreciation for art and diverse representations of visual culture. She received her B.A in studio art from Salve Regina University in Newport, RI, in 2014 and in 2017 moved to Charleston, SC to pursue a full-time art career. She has exhibited and is held in collections across the U.S.
