Cecil Beaton

Sir Cecil Walter Hardy Beaton CBE was an English fashion, portrait and war photographer, diarist, painter, interior designer and an Oscar–winning stage and costume designer for films and the theatre.
Beaton is one of the most celebrated British Portrait Photographers of the Twentieth Century and is renowned for his images of elegance, glamour and style. His influence on portrait photography was profound as can be seen in the work of many photographers including David Bailey, Mario Testino, Richard Avedon, Irving Penn and many others.
