In 2008, I fortuitously landed at the base of a documented 3000 year old Native American Vision Quest site. While living here, I was given the gift of exploring my heritage which led me on a unique journey with my ancestors. The creative result of this exploration pushed my artistic boundaries allowing me to explore new media, creative outlets and story telling. I once again began to showcase my artwork in numerous galleries, juried art shows and online. I had started my artistic journey as a young child, even winning my first award in third grade but life events had stolen the passion & focus I once had. After a series of life altering events, I was forced to sell my entire studio of supplies, my cameras and even my beloved art table my Dad built for me. I dabbled with creating through the years and sold a few pieces here and there but I had lost not only my creative life but the soul of my journey.
I had almost given up on my artistic journey until bumping into my ancestors and exploring the gifts they shared with me, a powerful spiritual journey awakening my creativity again is a once in a lifetime inspiration to share with you.
I never go looking for that perfect photo opportunity, I share the moments in life that present themselves to me. Capturing emotions, lives and spiritual visions that cross my path. Each moment tells a story that often develops into a book or piece of artwork for me to share. Stories shared creatively in every medium exploring the depth of my visions.
I explore boundaries to share the spiritual emotion of the souls I bump into. Mandala work created from photographs explore the unique spiritual and emotional power of a connection with a soul many never see through traditional photography. These are offered as individual pieces of artwork and soon as published books.
Black & white is a bold discovery of details to explore the beauty of artistry void of color. This method takes large amounts of time to remove, enhance and draw developing pieces of art inspired from color photographs of my emotional journey with my Spirit animals. Splash your personal colorful emotions into this artistry.
I began to work in fiber art in 2001, creating unique scarves from discontinued & one of a kind yarns. These unused snippets of fibers plus unique jewelry treasures piled up in boxes as I collected from non profit thrift shops that support intellectually & developmentally challenged individuals in Colorado. After a fiber explosion, in my studio in 2020, that left me with a tangled disaray of colors, textures & tiny snipits, my frustration lead to one of a kind scarflet. Showcasing unusual textures, colors and fibers with jewelry pieces became wearable art! I could create fast enough each unique treasure and retired them. There will be an occasional few that enter my studio, unless you custom order them.
In 2021, I found a metal vintage loom, I held it in my hand and knew exactly what I wanted to create from the found treasures collecting for years. I pulled out my stash of fiber & jewelry, sat on the floor of my log cabin in the Rocky Mountains one winter beside a fire to warm my fingers, and designed mini art tapestries. Unique fiber, unusual textures, specialty yarns with show stopping jewelry accents create limited custom artwork for your enjoyment. As I push this new artistry, I feel a piece of my soul enters each, many have stories to share that I am sure will warm your heart. Best part of my fiber artistry, you help support a wonderful non profit organization that uplifts an underserved population. I get to 'bump into their lives' everytime I visit the shop for new found treasures💞

A survivor of trauma & abuse who found peace, healing and happiness at the base of an ancient mountain native Americans traveled to for more than 3000 years to seek guidance, healing and hope through visions & animals that presented themselves as Spirit Animals.
