Originally painted a crane: An important symbolic animal in Japanese culture. The original design of a crane is a pattern used on kimonos. i abstracted the original to this version. The dark "background" is visible against the lighter textured lines of light. Begun in about 2015, additional layers added including a medium of something bought out of a tube from Home Depot. 2016 and again ca. 2020
