Anja Studer was born and raised in Switzerland and became an environmental activist at a very young age, feeling a deep need to protect the world we live in. She studied fine arts at the École de design et haute école d’art du Valais. When Anja moved to Canada, she continued her fine arts studies at the University of Manitoba and graduated from Red River College with a diploma in photography. She currently lives in Canada and continues to create, exhibit, and sell her art in Europe and Canada.

Her work includes painting, paper cutting, illustration, embroidery, sculpture, installation, and photography. Anja’s past exhibitions have focused on human existence through abstract landscapes and animal portraits. Her most current series of work explores the negative impact humans have on the wildlife we share this world with.
