For the past 18 years I have marked the Counting of the Omer centered on documenting the aspects of the Sephirot in connection with my daily drawings and observations of the old Cedar Tree of Life right next to my house. This magnificent tree with its outstretched limbs holds me in a variety of ways. I feel its mystical splendor, the daily shifting of light upon its outstretched branches and enjoy seeing the squirrels rest and scamper up and down it as I gaze at it. The tree also holds me emotionally as I mark time for 49 days in the Minnesota spring with all of its turbulent changes.. And the tree and marking the inner nature of the relationship of the sephirot hold me through the ups and downs of daily life and various challenges that rise and are resolved.
