Creating has been part of my life since childhood—a way of exploring the world, expressing emotion, and giving form to ideas that words alone cannot always capture. Over the past six years, my artistic practice has evolved into an expansive body of mixed media work that reflects my curiosity about materials, texture, color, memory, and transformation.
I approach each piece as an exploration. By layering and combining diverse materials, I allow the work to develop through both intention and discovery. Texture, contrast, shape, and unexpected relationships between materials become part of a visual language that invites the viewer to look closely and experience the work beyond its surface.
My mixed media practice gives me the freedom to move between structure and spontaneity. Each layer carries evidence of the creative process—what has been added, concealed, altered, or revealed. Through this process, I seek to create work that feels both personal and open-ended, allowing viewers to bring their own experiences and interpretations to what they see.
During the past six years, I have created a diverse collection of mixed media works, received recognition through awards, and had the privilege of exhibiting my art in Maryland, New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to continuing to experiment, evolve, and expand the possibilities within my practice.
For me, making art remains connected to the sense of discovery I experienced as a child. It is an ongoing conversation between imagination, material, and experience—one in which every work becomes an opportunity to uncover something unexpected.
