Born 1968 in Tupelo (MS, USA), Angie Jones lives and works in Los Angeles (California, USA). Angie Jones graduated from Laguna College of Art + Design, Laguna Beach (MFA obtained in 2015) and the Atlanta College of Art, Atlanta (BFA obtained in 1994). An accomplished Artist, Award-winning Animation Director, Animator, and VFX expert, Angie Jones pivots from Hollywood to Fine Art arenas to create something new from something old and make it new again.
A significant figure in the contemporary art scene, Angie Jones is featured in the first two shows of 2024 at Corey Helford Gallery. Noteworthy distinctions include her participation in Miami Art Basel in December 2017, where she showcased her art as a Pantone trending artist, releasing two limited edition prints inspired by the year's color, Ultra-Violet. Additionally, Jones was the subject of a solo exhibition at the Prohibition Gallery in Los Angeles in 2014.
Her work has been exhibited extensively both nationally and internationally, with notable venues including galleries and museums: Rhythms & Visions Expanded Live Show @ USC (2018), Huntington Beach Art Center (2016), Ball State University Atrium Gallery (2015), Laguna Art Museum (2015), Q Art Salon (2015), Prohibition Gallery (2014), Flower Pepper Gallery (2014), Bedford Gallery (2014), Cella Gallery (2103), Fullerton Art Museum (2012), The Chandler Center for Art in Arizona (2011), Rockford Art Museum (2011) and James Gray Gallery (2008).
