Art From the Inside Out

I’m an abstract mixed-media artist based in Texas – where the skies are big, the heat is relentless, and my thoughts never sit still. I have always had a deep fascination for what goes on beneath the surface — emotionally, psychologically, and creatively.

Long before my art journey began, I waited tables, tended bar, earned degrees in Psychology and Nursing, and eventually spent many years working as an ICU nurse. Let’s just say, I’ve seen some things. I am no stranger to stress or to the very real struggle of being human. My art is rooted in the belief that this struggle can be both deeply personal and universally felt. 

For me, creating began as a way to cope with that complexity — to untangle the mess that often doesn’t have language. What began as self-preservation became a creative practice grounded in emotion, reflection, and mental health. Through abstract forms, layered textures, and the occasional oddball title, I make space for the feelings we’re often taught to hide — anxiety, ambiguity, contradiction, joy, burnout ... all of it.

My art isn’t here to “fix” anyone, but it does aim to open up space for self-reflection. At its heart, my work is about connection: to ourselves, to each other, and to the full, complicated range of what it means to be human — messy insides and all.

Therapy? I recommend it. But this helps, too.
