Alexandra Jamieson (b. Portland, Oregon) is a New York City-based watercolor and multimedia artist whose paintings have earned acclaim for their blend of natural, astronomical, and urban elements. A third-generation artist, she engages with color and form to explore and process what it means to be human.
Having worked in watercolor since 2009, Alex's award-winning work has been featured in the Mona Niko Gallery (Mission Viejo, CA), The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition Gallery (Brooklyn, NYC), the Kunstraum Gallery (NYC), The Clio Art Fair, and Las Laguna Art Gallery (CA).
Alexandra was awarded a City Artist Corp grant in 2021, and her curating project We Create | NYC is a fiscal sponsored project of the New York Foundation for the Arts.
She creates commissioned “meditation portraits” for private clients around the world and has been featured in Oprah Magazine, Martha Stewart Living, Good Morning America, CNN, USA Today, and more.
Jamieson is the author of five books, including Radical Alignment, and was the co-creator + co-star of the Oscar-nominated documentary Super Size Me.
