Picasso Series Study – Figures in Space
Intaglio etching on paper

Created as a study for Alan Wood-Thomas's Picasso Series, this intaglio etching explores the expressive possibilities of the human figure through elongated forms, sweeping contours, and carefully orchestrated negative space. Three stylized figures appear to float within a geometric landscape, their movements linked in a rhythmic visual dialogue. Inspired by Picasso's late investigations of abstraction and the figure, the composition reflects Wood-Thomas's own modernist sensibility, transforming line and form into a meditation on balance, movement, and spatial harmony.
