Picasso Series Study – Three Figures
Intaglio etching on paper

Created as a study for Alan Wood-Thomas's Picasso Series, this intaglio etching arranges three monumental figures within a rhythmic architectural framework of arches and vertical forms. The simplified contours and balanced composition echo Picasso's late explorations of the human figure while revealing Wood-Thomas's own distinctive visual language. Through elegant line, expansive negative space, and classical symmetry, the work transforms the figure into a timeless meditation on harmony, abstraction, and the enduring legacy of modernism.
