Ink and watercolor on paper
Soft watercolor washes and delicate ink contours combine to create an intimate study of the reclining figure. Warm terracotta tones gently model the form while leaving much of the paper untouched, allowing light and negative space to become integral elements of the composition. The balance of expressive line, transparent color, and quiet restraint reflects Alan Wood-Thomas's modernist approach to the figure, where gesture and atmosphere are given equal importance.
