Damien Davis is a black queer male artist born in 1984 in Crowley, LA, raised in Phoenix, AZ and currently based in Brooklyn, NY. He received a BFA in Studio Art from NYU in 2010 and an MA in Visual Arts Administration from NYU in 2014. His work explores and challenges historical representations of “black" (or black) people, places, and things. His primary medium is laser-cut acrylic, and his art is greatly influenced by science fiction.
