Artist Bio/Statement
My name is Luca Colunga, I am a young latinx teen artist that has worked at Artists for Humanity in the Boston community.
I grew up in Boston but moved a lot at a young age, mainly growing up in different parts of Boston. As a child, I went through a lot of traumatic situations with my family, but to cope, I taught myself to draw with different mediums, as an escape from what's hurt me mentally.
At AFH, I made a series based on my personal experiences as a hispanic, non-binary, depressed individual. I want each of my pieces to reach out and tell you my story and hope that you are able to feel noticed and recognized if you are struggling with hard situations. But other than my hardships and struggles, I am a very optimistic, bubbly, funny person to hang out with and worth meeting!
