Akeakamai is a photographer, videographer, and director based out of Roslindale, Massachusetts. His introduction to photography began with a street photography course at the Big Picture Art House program in the summer of 2022. At the end of the 2023 school year, he began doing concert and portrait photography for rap artists in the Boston area. In his work, Ishikawa has continued to focus on rap and street photography, enjoying the creative freedom offered by hip-hop photography and the complex storytelling potential of street photography. Rather than boxing himself to one style, Ishikawa focuses on expanding his creative range.
