Nhu Ngoc Tran, also known as Russi, or Rus for short, was born in the countryside of Vietnam. She discovered a passion for art at a young age and has been doing art since elementary school. As a painter, she explores society and people, the bad and the good, and the beautiful things that hide delicately in the morbid and disturbing.

My art creates scenes that appear normal-looking that hide disturbing elements you only notice when looking closely. I carefully place unsettling details in my work that reveal something deeper beneath the surface. Each part of my drawing has meaning and helps tell a story that unfolds as you spend time with it. Though my techniques are straightforward, they focus on creating emotional impact through the careful placement of meaning details. My work invites viewers to look twice and discover the hidden psychological layers beneath everyday appearances.
