Ailin Chen was born in Boston, Massachusetts. Her interest in art began in the first grade, inspired by her art teacher. She started mostly with pencil and paper drawings and later transitioned to acrylic painting when she joined AFH in her sophomore year of high school. Her art pieces range from portraits, still lifes, to landscapes. Ailin has recently participated in the annual AFH event, Palette for Giving, where she auctioned off her work.

Art is one of the few ways I can bring my thoughts to life, which is why my artistic style often includes fantastical elements. The excitement of creating and seeing the impossible come alive is what motivates me to continue.
