Jim Cobb, until recently was hanging his work on Canyon Rd in Santa Fe, New Mexico. One-man shows have been hosted in Taos, New Mexico, Norman, Oklahoma and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
When the Oklahoma Arts Guild still had a juried national show, he had won every award from “Best in Oils” to “Best in Show”.
Most recent exhibits include a one-man show conducted by the Oklahoma Art Council where Cobb’s work hung in the Governors Gallery.
Invited by the Norman Arts Council, his show was hosted several times over the years at the “Depot” at the Norman Performing Arts Center.
He has taught life drawing as a faculty member in the College of Arts at the University of Oklahoma.
Cobb has also taught at the Oklahoma City Museum and privately.
