"Escaping Criticism Too," was inspired by Pere Borrell del Caso's iconic masterpiece, "Escaping Criticism" from 1874. This piece aims to resonate with individuals who have experienced the sting of critique. By incorporating a relatable figure, the artwork explores the universal struggle of finding self-worth and grappling with the challenges that arise from being critiqued. It serves as a visual representation of the journey one undertakes to value and assess their own work, beliefs, and perspectives, amidst the presence of external judgment. Through this artwork, viewers are invited to reflect on the profound impact that criticism can have on their lives and the myriad ways in which they can navigate and transcend these challenges.
