Born Nora Woodson in Kansas City, Missouri in 1899, but known professionally as Nura, she was an American artist, muralist, textile artist, children's book author and illustrator. She attended the Kansas City Art Institute.
Eventually she married Hungarian-born artist Edward Buk Ulreich, with whom she frequently collaborated. She died in New Rochelle, New York on October 26, 1950.
