Current and Former Faculty: 30th Anniversary Celebration

The 2023-2024 academic year marks the 30th anniversary of Davidson College’s Katherine and Tom Belk Visual Arts Center. In celebration of this momentous occasion, we are launching a year-long reflection aimed at honoring our past and the folks who helped shape our community while also imagining our future impact on the visual arts both on campus and regionally. As part of expressing our gratitude, we celebrate our current and former arts faculty members through displaying the pieces of their personal work that belong to our permanent collection. Though not all of these art educators were contemporaries—their teaching spans decades—the works as a body are most harmonious. The sheer variety of work attests to the continuous creative capacity of the Art Department.
